Live Music - 26th April - Open Mic!

This Saturday from 9pm we are hosting an open mic night!

Our brilliant bar staff, Max and Robin will be swapping their bar skills and showing their musical talent, everyone is welcome to come and join in and have a go, or you can simply listen to the raw talent!

Food will be served till 9pm, why not try our new menu and make a night off it!

Launch of our New Menu Friday 11th April and Live Music on Saturday!


We are delighted to launch our new menu this Friday!


This is a small sample of our new menu, our full menu can be viewed here:

Starters include:

  • Duo of prawns and smoked salmon, shallot rings and capers with a warm mini baguette
  • A bowl of fresh mussels, finished in a white wine and garlic cream sauce, with warm bread
  • Salad of Yorkshire beetroot and goats cheese with dressed leaves

Mains include:

  • Haddock in our homemade guest ale batter, served with hand cut chips and  Yorkshire caviar
  • Pan fried chicken breast, wholegrain mustard mash and a Ribblsedale smoked cheese sauce
  • Smoked haddock, salmon and cod fish pie served with garden peas 
  • Our very own exclusive recipe burger, made by Hartleys

Homemade desserts will change regularly depending on the season.

Along side this menu, we will still be running a pizza menu for eat in and takeaway and a special bar deal of Thornton's pie and peas plus a pint for only £6.95.

Plus this Saturday night, Dave Ward-Maclean is back at the Drum. A regular favourite, David will once again get the place rocking and everyone singing and jigging along with his fantastic acoustic set.

Treat Mum this Mother's Day Weekend - Live Music and Tasty Food!

Treat Mum this weekend to a night out or a delicious home made meal, or you could really spoil her and treat her to both!

On Saturday the 29th March, the brilliant Alex Anthony Wilford is back at the Drum. From 9pm, Alex (from Easingwold) will be playing his mix of acoustic covers and originals. Alex is fast becoming a regular at the Drum and never fails to impress, he will have you singing along as he rocks your Saturday night!

Across the weekend we will be serving tasty home cooked food until 9pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there is something for everyone and no need to wash up! Check out our main menu or on Mother's Day in addition to our main menu, we are also serving roast beef with all the trimmings!

Live Music - 15th March - Steve Chapman-Smith!

Steve Chapman-Smith has had a wide and varied musical career to date. He has played on many recordings from bands including Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Fiat Lux, Ghostdance, Riprize,Ada Wilson, Stranger than Fiction and more recently The Troubadors. He has also had the pleasure of recording 4 sessions for the late great John Peel with Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Ghostdance at the BBC's Maida Vale studios. Steve has now launched a solo career showcasing his original material with a few much loved covers along the way. Passionate, uplifting, real songs about real people and real life. No rose tinted glasses here!

Love is in the Air - Book now for Valentines Day!

Its that time of year again, when we all get just a bit soppy and publicly declare our undying love for that someone special in our life (whether its a partner or friend) and here at the Drum, we are still feeling a bit soppy as Marc and Emma recently joined the newly-wed brigade!

Here is one recipe for love and happiness, but rather than reaching for the sick bucket, why not book now and treat that someone special to our Valentines Day Menu, prices start from just £10.95! 1/2 a cup of hugs
4 tsp of kisses
4 cups of love
1 cup of special holiday cheer
1/2 cup of sweetheart hugs
3 tsp of cinnamon hearts
2 cups of love and kindness
1 bag of valentines
1 medium-size bag of great big red hearts

Blend all and sprinkle with lots of love!

February at the Drum!

We would like to wish all our customers a very Happy New Year!

January is nearly over and it will soon be the long awaited pay day! New Years Eve Party!

We would like to wish all our customers a Happy New Year and hope that 2014 brings you joy and happiness!

To bring in the New Year we will be open till late and from 8pm Ray Freeman will be playing an acoustic set to get you in the party spirit. Ray has played with John Denver in the past and will be playing your favourite hits.
